FAQ

What materials are our knife holders made from?

Our knife holders are made from solid wood and treated with hardwax oil based only on natural, plant-based oils that are food-safe.

CIRKA is also available in Valchromat – a durable material made from wood fibers, available in rich, beautiful colors.

SQUARE is covered in leather – a recycled leather blend combined with natural rubber, creating a durable and sustainable surface.

The magnet we use is a high-quality neodymium magnet, strong enough to keep your knives safely in place.

How do I care for your products?

Keep your knife holder clean by wiping it with a damp cloth – that’s all it takes to keep it looking great.
Make sure your knife is clean and dry before hanging it – that prevents stains and marks.

Since wood is a natural material, and we don’t use any toxic surface treatments (for your sake and the planet’s), our products are not water-resistant.

If you’ve purchased a bowl or cutting board:
Always wash by hand – never in the dishwasher. The dishwasher forces water into the wood, which can cause it to swell, dull, and lose its natural beauty.

Where are your products made?

All our products are made in Sweden. We finish, brand, and ship every item ourselves.

We use Scandinavian oak and ash, while walnut comes from the U.S., as it only grows there.
Valchromat is sourced from Europe.

Which knives work with your holders?

Our holders are magnetic, so they work with knives made of magnetic metal.
They do not work with ceramic knives.

Each holder is designed to hold one knife.

How do I mount your knife holders?

Our knife holders come with strong, pre-mounted double-sided adhesive tape.
Make sure the surface is clean and free from grease – use a damp cloth and a drop of dish soap.
They stick to most smooth surfaces like tile, wallpaper, glass, and painted walls.
The soft, flexible tape makes the holders grip like a charm.

Can I move the knife holders?

Yes! You can remove the holder by sliding a string between the holder and the wall – like “sawing” it off.
This lets you remove it cleanly, and you can replace the tape if needed.

To remove leftover tape, rub gently with your fingers.
